Mae Soon Village is located in the mountains in Phrao district. It is a Karen Hilltribe village comprised mostly of tea farmers. There are days when there is no electricity. The journey from Phrao to Mea Soon takes about 2-3 hours. It's one of the villages that our church has sent teams up to help over the years since 2019, even throughout the Pandemic period. In 2023, we were able to visit the village at least once every 2 months and on special occasions. Currently, we work with 5-6 children aged 6 years old.

The children attend a small village school where they can study up to grade 6. There is only one teacher that takes care of all 12 enrolled students. After that, the parents need to find a dormitory in Phrao town in order for their children to continue their studies at high school. Our church sends a team to help the Maesoon church teach the bible to the children because most of the brothers and sisters there have young children and the elderly parents. Occasionally we bring a team from overseas to the village to do activities with the church members.
